Catium is a mobile application that helps you identify cat breeds using artificial intelligence. Simply take a photo or upload an existing image of a cat, and the app will analyze it to provide you with the most likely breed, a description, and additional images of similar cats.
Our AI-powered algorithm analyzes the features of your photo—such as fur pattern, color, face shape, and other characteristics—to match it with a large database of cat breeds. The app then suggests the most probable breed and provides a detailed description generated by AI.
For the most accurate identification, use clear and well-lit photos that focus on the cat’s face and body. Avoid blurry or distant images, and try to capture the cat against a simple background.
Yes! You can either take a new photo directly in the app or upload an existing image from your device’s gallery for identification.
Catium uses advanced AI algorithms and a large cat breed database to provide accurate results in most cases. However, identification is not always perfect—especially for mixed breeds or similar-looking cats. We recommend using the provided information as a helpful guide and consulting experts for critical decisions.
For each identified cat, you’ll receive an AI-generated description, scientific and common breed names, and additional images to help you compare and learn more about the breed.
Your privacy is important to us. When you use the app, your photo is securely sent to a third-party service for identification purposes. Additionally, we store the photos you provide so that you can conveniently view your identification history within the app. You can delete your history and associated photos at any time through the app’s interface. We do not share your photos with any other parties beyond what is necessary for cat breed identification. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
Catium requires an internet connection to process images and access the cat breed database. Offline identification is not currently supported.
If the app cannot confidently identify your cat, try uploading a clearer or different photo. You can also use the app’s suggestions to explore similar breeds or consult a veterinarian or cat expert for further assistance.
All cat breed descriptions in the app are generated by artificial intelligence based on trusted feline sources and breed databases.
