LandUp is an AI-powered landscape design app that helps you reimagine any outdoor space in seconds. Just snap or upload a photo of your yard, choose a design style or describe the look you want, and our AI generates a redesigned version of your space so you can see the transformation instantly.
It only takes a few steps: take a photo or upload one from your gallery, crop it to frame the space, optionally pick the space type and how much you want the AI to change, then either choose a style or write your own description and tap Generate. After a short wait you can compare the before and after, save it, or try again.
For the best results, use a bright, sharp photo taken in good daylight that shows as much of the space as possible — ideally the whole yard, patio, driveway, or bed you want to redesign. Hold the camera steady, avoid heavy clutter, and capture the space from a natural angle. You can take a new photo in the app or pick an existing one from your gallery.
Space types (such as Backyard, Front yard, Patio, Deck, Driveway, Walkway, Garden beds, Fire pit area, or Pool area) tell the AI what kind of outdoor area it's looking at, so the redesign suits how the space is used. Choosing one is optional — there's an "Any space" option, and if you skip it the AI works from your photo alone.
AI Intervention controls how much the AI changes your landscape, from Basic to Extreme. Lower levels make subtle refinements while keeping your existing layout mostly intact, and higher levels apply a bolder, more complete transformation. Whichever level you pick, your plot boundaries, hardscape, and any house or building stay in place so the before and after still line up — only the design changes.
Yes. Alongside our ready-made styles, you can write a custom prompt describing the planting, materials, layout, and mood you want — for example, "modern minimalist yard with clean stone paving, low walls, and ornamental grasses." The more detail you add, the closer the result will be to your vision.
LandUp offers a large and growing library of landscape and yard styles — including Modern Minimalist, Contemporary Luxury, Modern Farmhouse, Classic Manicured, Mediterranean, Japanese Zen, Cottage Charm, Coastal Retreat, Pool Oasis, Desert Xeriscape, Wildflower Meadow, English Estate, and many more. Each style comes with a short description and reference images so you can preview the look before applying it.
Beyond choosing a full style, LandUp includes focused tools for targeted changes to your outdoor space — fill an empty plot, add an object such as a bench or planter, add dividers such as fences or hedges, replace or remove an object, change the season, or add landscape lighting. There's also a custom option for describing your own change. Each tool points the AI at that one adjustment, so the rest of your space stays close to your original photo.
Free users can create a limited number of designs each day, and the counter resets daily — the app shows how long is left until the reset. Premium raises that daily allowance far above the free tier so you can keep designing. If you reach your daily free limit, you can wait for it to reset or upgrade to continue right away.
Premium raises your daily generation limit so you can keep designing without waiting. Every space type, style, AI intervention level, and tool is available to all users. You can upgrade anytime from the in-app upgrade screen, and a free trial may be available before your subscription begins.
Premium includes unlimited image generations for normal personal use — unlike the free version, there is no small daily quota. To keep the service reliable for everyone and to protect it from automated abuse, a fair-use safeguard of 50 image generations per day applies, as described in our Terms of Use. This is far more than typical everyday use, so you are unlikely to ever notice it.
Absolutely. You can regenerate a new variation using the same settings, re-open a result to adjust the style, prompt, or other options, or delete results you no longer want. Feel free to experiment until the yard looks just right.
When you like a result, you can download it straight to your device's photo gallery or share it through the system share sheet — to messages, email, or social apps. You can also press and hold a result to compare it side by side with your original photo.
Your generated designs are saved in your History so you can revisit them anytime. You can remove individual results or clear your entire history; please note that deleting is permanent and can't be undone.
Yes. LandUp generates designs in the cloud, so an active internet connection is required to create and view new results. Offline design generation is not currently supported.
The photos you submit are sent securely to our AI service for processing and are stored so you can view your design history within the app. You can delete your designs and associated photos at any time, and we don't share your photos beyond what's needed to generate your results. You can manage or restore your subscription from the app's settings; billing and cancellation are handled through your app store account. Settings also lets you delete your account — this permanently removes your data, so please use it with care.
